So what is keeping you from signing on with one of the many excellent Internet providers? If you are like many others, you may be under the belief that the service may require the installation of a new phone line. In the past, this may have been common but it is really no longer the case. Customers can simply have the DSL signal delivered through the current phone outlet in the home even if it is not used for phone service.

The ability to provide DSL service without a functional landline phone service has been necessitated by consumer changes. After all, many people have made the lifestyle switch to only using cell phones for their communications. Obviously, the fact that this is cheaper than having two phone services plays a huge role in the decision. Similarly, paying for a new phone service would undermine the cost savings of acquiring a new high speed internet plan. But, once again, this concern should not be of any concern. There is no need to have a landline phone installed if you want DSL service. All high speed internet providers make their services available without the need for a new phone line. So, there will be no need to invest money in any costs in that capacity.
