Is a Whole House Filter The Way To Go?

Struggling with the question of whether to get a whole house filter or not? We were. We couldn’t decide between going for shower filter and a kitchen filter. So we started thinking it might be better to get one filter for the whole house. That way one large water filter is installed where the water comes into the house. We found out later that most are installed right next to the water heater, although they can be installed outside the home also.

We ended up choosing the whole house filter from Aquasana called the Aquasana Rhino EQ-300. This filter is a best seller. For good reasons. The cost is less than $1000.00, in fact under $800 through our supplier, Better Water Store. We also like the idea of not having any electrical connections or having to back-flush the unit. We had our plumber install it for a couple of hundred bucks and away we went. Nice, clean chlorine free water coming out of our faucets, showers ,bath, dishwasher, and washing machines. Replacement isn’t for another 3 years and doesn’t require a plumber. It doesn’t get any easier than that!

Balance Fitness Using An Exercise Ball

Basic ball exercises to help your balance and stability are easy to do for any beginner. First try to sit on a stability ball. If you never done this before you will quickly notice how a slight shift in weight can bring on some instability. So begin by holding the ball with your hands to the sides in a seated position. Now slowly roll your hips making small, controlled circles. Once you feel you’ve mastered this, try doing the same exercise but this time increase the size of the circles. Repeat this exercise circling to the left than to the right.

Here’s another simple seated exercise on the ball to help ones balance. Start by keeping your spine nice and straight. Now engage your abdominal muscles. Then begin to lift the left leg off the floor and then rotate the same with the right leg. You want to imitate walking. Stay focused and work slowly to begin, then eventually lift the knees higher and pick up the tempo. You may find the ball bounce slightly which is okay so don’t worry. Stay focused still engaging those abdominal.

There are so many children on the streets that are under-nourished and under-developed. Their parents on account of severe poverty are not able to give them two square meals a day, let alone nutritious food. The government too, on its part, is trying to do everything within its reach to alleviate poverty and ensure that the innocent children of such parents, who fall below poverty line, are taken care of under the government sponsored schemes. Instead of simply mulling over the problem of poverty and introducing various schemes in order to find a solution to the problem of under-nourished children, the government would do well to distribute goji berries which are supposed to be rich in vitamins, in such government schools where these children are studying. Boy, I got to tell you that in this economy right now I’m thankful I found a Aquasana countertop water filter. The days of buying bottled water are gone! That’s right gone!
