Celebrate Great Food — Mediterranean Diet Review

The plan, which was inspired by the people who live in the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, centers around fresh fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, dairy, nuts, legumes, beans, healthy fat sources like olive oil and avocados, and even a glass of red wine. The lifestyle encourages hard physical work, family meals, and celebration. This eating plan is not about restriction, it’s about living your best life and experiencing the good health that goes along with it.

Before you switch how you approach eating, preparing mentally is an important first step. You are encouraged to think about your reasons for dieting. The best motivators are good health and enhanced self esteem. Think about what motivates you. Fitting into a dress for your class reunion won’t likely change your long-term eating habits. But feeling energetic, happy, and self-confident are more lasting reasons for change. Nothing is more motivating also than seeing progress. Try tracking all of the various changes you make, and then noting how it impacts you physically and mentally.
