Is a Whole House Filter The Way To Go?
Struggling with the question of whether to get a whole house filter or not? We were. We couldn’t decide between going for shower filter and a kitchen filter. So we started thinking it might be better to get one filter for the whole house. That way one large water filter is installed where the water comes into the house. We found out later that most are installed right next to the water heater, although they can be installed outside the home also.
We ended up choosing the whole house filter from Aquasana called the Aquasana Rhino EQ-300. This filter is a best seller. For good reasons. The cost is less than $1000.00, in fact under $800 through our supplier, Better Water Store. We also like the idea of not having any electrical connections or having to back-flush the unit. We had our plumber install it for a couple of hundred bucks and away we went. Nice, clean chlorine free water coming out of our faucets, showers ,bath, dishwasher, and washing machines. Replacement isn’t for another 3 years and doesn’t require a plumber. It doesn’t get any easier than that!
