Boy, I got to tell you that in this economy right now I’m thankful I found a Aquasana countertop water filter. The days of buying bottled water are gone! That’s right gone! You see not only is bottled water very expensive (usually at least a couple  of dollars per gallon), it puts an  enormous pressure on our environment as those plastic water bottles are going into our landfills at around 8 billion bottles a year. That’s a lot of plastic that doesn’t break down for another 1000 or so years.

What we did was go out and buy a Aquasana AQ-4000 countertop filter. These filters are really affordable, as they produced great filtered water at around 9 cents a gallon, quite a significant difference from bottled water. And the quality of water is much better!  They use a twin cartridge system that only needs a Aquasana replacement filter cartridge every six months or 500 gallons of water. The pitcher type need replaced  every 30 gallons at a cost of usually over 42 cents a gallon. We got ours though a company called Better Water Store.
