The Chinese Sweet Plum Makes a Charming Gift for Anyone
If you’re looking for a nice indoor bonsai tree to give as a gift or to use as the beginning of your bonsai collection, look no farther than the Chinese Sweet Plum. This little bonsai tree is sometimes called the Chinese Bird Plum, but no matter what you call it, it won’t get over a foot tall, with most growing to be around eight to ten inches high.
It’s a lovely bonsai that looks great in any setting. The Chinese Sweet Plum is a tropical evergreen bonsai, and it features small, pink flowers and will grow several small black fruits during the spring.
While many plants can survive outdoors with good soil, enough water, a good amount of sunlight, and good air flow, growing plants indoors can be a bit trickier. Often, plants don’t get enough sunlight indoors, and they may not like the temperature or the cycled, filtered air. You have to take great care to make certain your bonsai is in a place where it gets the sunlight it needs. You also need to be sure to keep the soil fairly moist. Be careful that you don’t over water the bonsai, though, or it can develop root rot.
